The Franklin County Area United Way hosts a number of events each year to help meet our fundraising goals.
Power of the Purse
Join us for a fun night of live and silent purse auctions. These events frequently feature designer handbags, wristlets, crossbodies, totes, and wallets from Kate Spade, Dooney & Bourke, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and others.
The Power of the Purse events are hosted in five communities throughout Franklin County. You may recognize some of our models and bartenders. Everyone from local bankers to firefighters to your coworkers help bring this event life.
Be sure to bring your singles for tips, and be ready to have fun!

Smash the Stigma
September 18, 2025
Join NOC Technology on September 18, 2025, for “Smash the Stigma,” a community event raising money for mental health services in Franklin County. This fun-filled fundraiser combines entertainment with purpose, creating a space where families can support mental health awareness while enjoying exciting activities.
The event features a “Smash Old Tech” station, a Home Run Derby, Dunk Tank, and food for purchase. Local businesses and individuals interested in sponsoring can visit NOCTechnology.com/SMASH to learn more about opportunities to support this important cause and help build a stronger, more supportive Franklin County.
Annual Golf Tournament
One of our most popular fundraisers, the Franklin County Area United Way Golf Tournament is an annual tradition held on the first Friday in October. Teams are co-ed, so gather up your favorite golf buddies and get ready for a day of fun for a good cause!
This four-person scramble includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, and dinner, plus flight prizes. Mulligans optional.
If you don’t love to play golf or you’re busy that day, tournament sponsorships are available.
